The origins of the K\u00f6tterhof – it was named after its builder,
\na man named K\u00f6tter – lie in the 17th century, a second part of the farm
\nwas cultivated in the 18th century.\u00a0Once the building served as a living and sleeping place
\nfor day labourers who were employed in agriculture. A third construction phase dates
\nto the 1950s. At that time – according to the spirit of the time – with little sensitivity
\nfor the historical substance.<\/p>\n

The K\u00f6tterhof was built in the years 2019\/2020 according to the plans of
\nWitten architectural offices Frielinghaus Sch\u00fcren Architekten and in close cooperation
\nwith the city of Herdecke and the responsible monument authority and in
\na guesthouse with eight rooms has been rebuilt – including two apartments with pantry kitchen.
\nThe historical half-timbered building was largely reconstructed.
\nFor example, the wooden framework was filled with bricks according to the historical model,
\npressed from a clay\/straw mixture at the construction site –
\na very expensive and time-consuming one these days,
